Taylor Swift has enviable style. Love her or hate her, she knows what works for her body and wears her wardrobe with unparalleled confidence. When I search for fashion inspiration, her street style is often where I look. Below are some of my current favorite T.Swift looks (and there are so many to pick from!):
Beauty Buys: October
Recently, I felt like I was in a bit of a beauty rut. I wanted to shake things up without spending a lot of money on skincare products. At my local CVS, I found 3 products that I love and plan on making regular part of my routine.
- Neutrogena Rapid Clear Foaming Scrub
- Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask
- Olay Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 15
Fall To Do List
The rest of the year is going to be jam packed! We are going on our honeymoon (!!!) and visiting Geoffrey’s family in Florida. Even though we will be traveling a lot, when we are in Los Angeles there are a few things that I want to do with my husband, friends, and family this season!
1. Go Apple Picking
2. Bake Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies for friends.
3. Go to a Pumpkin Patch
4. Dress up for Halloween
5. Attend a UCLA football game
27!
I celebrated my 27th birthday last week and it was the best one yet! My friends, family, and husband went above and beyond to make me feel so unbelievably special. I am so excited for this upcoming year and am ready to make 27 the best year ever!
Goals:
Travel: I am determined to travel more this year. In addition to planned trips to Paris, Rome, and Florence, I would like to explore Austin, Chicago, Tokyo, and plan a fun trip to Disney world!
Help Others: I want to get more involved in one specific non-profit that is close to my heart. I also want to go out of my way to make my friends, family, and husband feel extra loved on a daily basis.
Prioritize Happiness: This year I want to love myself as I am, for who I am, and what I am doing. To define success by my own terms and stop caring what other people think.
Get Organized: I want to create a gallery wall in my home and order our wedding album and photos. I also want to do a big home organization/cleaning before the end of the year and de-clutter our space.
All Dressed Up
In my first YouTube video, I talked about my love for this dress. On our last night in Monterey, my husband and I went for a romantic dinner by the water. This dress was the perfect one to wear! It is comfortable but still looks fancy enough for a special meal. I also wore this dress to my friend Julia’s wedding in August. My favorite type of dress is versatile, romantic, wearable, and fun! I have a feeling this will stay in rotation in my closet for a long time.

Fall Fashion Inspiration
a favorite dress from madewell worn with my chanel flats. this fall i plan to add a chic jacket / sweater to this look.
It is the middle of August and I am officially excited about fall fashion. Even though I was born in raised in Los Angeles and have never experienced “real” seasons… fall is still my favorite for fashion. I love the warm rich colors and there is nothing I like more than a cozy sweater, scarf, and coat. While it probably won’t cool down in L.A. until November (and by cool down I mean go from 80/90 to 75), this year I have an excuse to shop for the cutest fall styles! In October, my husband and I will travel to Paris, Rome, and Florence to celebrate our honeymoon! This will be my first trip to Europe, and since we booked our trip I have scoured Pinterest (and Nordstrom… and ASOS…. and Anthropologie….) for inspiration. Below check out the images that have served as my fall style inspiration {all images found through pinterest and posted to: Outfit Inspiration}
I also have some news! I plan on posting my first video on YouTube later this week and it is a Nordstrom haul! I will link the post back to my blog, so look out for it. I reviewed my recent purchases from Nordstrom and include my thoughts on: Cupcakes and Cashmere collection, Joe’s Jeans, Betsey Johnson, and much more! You can check out my page here! Feel free to subscribe! I plan on posting more haul videos and some designer handbag/shoe/makeup reviews twice a week 🙂
Lipstick Love
I have a serious addiction to lipstick and lip gloss. I have no idea why… but a new tube can seriously make my day. I have an embarrassing number in my collection and today I am going to share my top 10.
1. Tom Ford “Nude Vanille” – My all time favorite. I wore this on my wedding day under my favorite lip gloss {see below}. It is the perfect nude pink… and when I wear it I feel extra put together.
2. NARS Lipgloss “Istria” – The best pink gloss. Hands down. Not too “bubblegum” or in your face. Just the perfect pink gloss.
3. Topshop Lips in “Saint” – this is one of my all time favorites and it is only $12! I can’t find it online, but I hope it isn’t discontinued! I would have stocked up by the dozen. It is that great! I wore this color for my engagement photographs in October. The perfect shade of baby pink.
4. Chanel “Boy” – This is a really great lipstick. It feels and applies like a lip balm. The color is super rich and this is probably my favorite for everyday wear.
5. MAC “Ruby Woo” – I love this red. I still feel like I am playing “dress up” when I wear a color this bright, but I love the statement it makes.
Working it Out
Finding the right fitness routine can be difficult, especially when you aren’t “fitness inclined.” When I actually started to work out (or wanted to start working out) I was 20. I had gained the freshman 15, and it was time to make a change. I tried gyms, running and yoga. Nothing ever really “stuck,” and my pattern of “go hard for 2 weeks and then quit/get bored” continued until I was 25. On October 18, 2013 everything changed. I clicked my shoes into my first spin class, and the rest is history. I was addicted. Spinning for me has become therapy. Riding in the dark to candlelight, with loud music, and the most inspiring instructors keeps me coming back. In 2014, I tried to join a popular gym in Santa Monica, and my pattern quickly returned. This proved to me that I still do not like “working out,” I just love the fitness community that took me 5+ years to find. I now spin 2 to 4 times a week, depending on my schedule and am the thinnest I have ever been. For me, it was never about “weight loss,” although that is the cherry on top. Finding a work out that I love has made me feel healthy, strong, athletic, and powerful. I feel like I can do anything, and I actually look forward to working out. In addition to spinning, I also take classes at Pure Barre and I enjoy hiking on the weekends with my husband. Spinning changed the way I view “working out,” and I am so grateful every day to finally have a fitness routine I love. What workout, works for you?
My Bridal Shower
I can’t believe that our wedding is next month! It feels so unreal and yet… I have never been more excited. I can’t wait to marry my best friend and start this new chapter as husband and wife.
Two weeks ago my maid of honor, Jaclyn, and my mom threw me the most beautiful bridal shower. Surrounded by 30 of my closest family and friends, it literally surpassed all of my dreams. I have never felt so loved. It also made the wedding feel so real and I started crying the second I walked in. The party was hosted at Jaclyn’s family home in Malibu and could not have been more beautiful.
my favorite dress that I purchased at Saks a few months ago.
my favorite flowers, peonies, arranged by my mom.
